Condition of Release

Before your super fund can pay a benefit, you must meet a condition of release. The fund's rules must also allow it.
 

Your self managed super fund can pay your smsf benefits at any time without cashing restrictions if:

• you reach age 65

• you reach preservation age and permanently retire

• you die

• you are permanently incapacitated

• your employment is terminated and the benefit is less than $200, or

• you are a lost member who is found and the benefit is less than $200.
